Background

Khan studied acting under celebrated Theatre Director Barry John at Delhi's Theatre Action Group. In 2007, John commented thus on his former pupil, "The credit for the phenomenally successful development and management of Shahrukh's career goes to the superstar himself." Khan made his acting debut in 1988 with the television series, Fauji, playing the role of Commando Abhimanyu Rai.He went on to appear in other television serials, such as the 1989 serial, Aziz Mirza's Circus, which depicted the life of circus performers. The same year, Khan also had a minor role in the made-for-television English-language film, In Which Annie Gives it Those Ones, which was based on life at Delhi University and was written by Arundhati Roy.

Time and CNN named Espuelas as one of the “Leaders of the Millennium”, and he was recognized as a “2000 All-Star” business leader by Crain's New York Business magazine. The World Economic Forum includes him among its "Global Leaders of Tomorrow," and he was also a recipient of Latin Trade Magazine's Bravo Award, being named "CEO of the Year" by the magazine. Hispanic Business magazine gave Espuelas its Hispanic Entrepreneur Award in 2000. He received a New York Award in 1999. Espuelas has been named to the "power-list" of such diverse media as The Hollywood Reporter, The Industry Standard, Latino Leaders Magazine, Red Herring Magazine, Silicon Alley Reporter, Hispanic Business Magazine, CNN, Upside Magazine and Hispanic Magazine. In 2007, Espuelas was named a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

Aamir Khan

Background
Born Aamir Hussain Khan on 14 March 1965 is an Indian film actor, director and producer who has established himself as one of the leading actors of Hindi cinema.

Starting his career as a child actor in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film Yaadon Ki Baaraat , Khan began his professional career eleven years later with Holi  and had his first commercial success with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak . He received his first National Film Award  for his roles in the films Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Raakh .After eight previous nominations during the 1980s and 1990s, Khan received his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in the major grosser Raja Hindustani  and later earned his second Best Actor award for his performance in the Academy Award-nominated Lagaan, which also marked the debut of his own production company.

Following a four-year break from acting, Khan made his comeback playing the title role in the historical Mangal Pandey: The Rising , and later won a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his role in Rang De Basanti . The following year, he made his directorial debut with Taare Zameen Par, for which he received a Filmfare Award for Best Director. This was followed by Ghajini , which became the highest grossing film of that year, and 3 Idiots , which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all-time, unadjusted for inflation.The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010 for his contributions towards the arts.
